Year 1 and 2
Today was the day!
The Great Fire of London started on the 2nd September 1666. The fire started in a bakery on Pudding Lane by a man called Thomas Farriner who forgot to put his oven out. The fire spread quickly because the houses were so close together and it was a windy day!
Year 1 and 2 recreated the fire by making Tudor houses ( previously posted), putting them close together on the field and watching as the fire spread. We had a great afternoon! The children, as expected, were very excited! They will be able to tell you all about it!
