Equalities and Diversity

Equality Objectives 2020

Regis Manor Primary is an inclusive school where all are welcome. We
celebrate diversity and champion equality. Our School Community and
everybody who enters our school is to behave in a way which respects the
protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010.

We recognise the four prohibited behaviours under the Equality Act 2010 -
to protect people from direct discrimination, indirect discrimination,
harassment and victimisation. The school actively works to ensure this is the
case.


Regis Manor Primary School is committed to ensuring equality of provision
throughout the school community. To achieve this, our equality objectives
2020 - 2021 are as follows:

  • To promote understanding and respect for differences
  • To narrow the disadvantaged pupil gap in EYFS so that a greater proportion of DA pupils finish the year with age expected outcomes for communication and language
  • To improve provision for pupils for whom English is an additional language, particularly new arrivals at the early stage of English acquisition
  • To provide training for all staff and governors on equality and diversity
