Curriculum

Our Curriculum Intent

At Regis Manor we aim to provide an engaging and exciting curriculum which is built on the foundations of a clear approach to the development of both spoken and written language.  Vocabulary development is threaded through all areas of our curriculum and we place a high emphasis on reading fluency and reading for pleasure to give our pupils the best opportunities for the future.  We aim to engage our pupils in deep learning experiences across the curriculum through a clear progression of skills and knowledge coupled with strong links across curriculum subjects and varied learning experiences.  We have a clear approach to the teaching and learning of core subjects and the foundation subjects are taught through clearly sequenced themes/topics on a biannual cycle which is reviewed regularly.  To enable our pupils to access not only their learning but to also support their individual personal development and growth our curriculum has a clear approach to supporting pupil well-being including social skills and emotional development.

Skills Progression Documents

These skills progression documents sit alongside the curriculum outlines for each year group outlined above.  Our teachers use both documents, alongside other resources to plan their curriculum.
